Make these cheesy roast beef sliders with caramelized onions and Bookbinder's Shelf Stable Prepared Horseradish for a quick, delicious meal. Perfectly melty, savory, and ready in just 30 minutes!

Made with

Shelf Stable Prepared Horseradish

Ingredients:

  • 1 yellow onion thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter divided
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 12 Kings Hawaiian Rolls
  • 1 cup Bookbinder's Shelf Stable Prepared Horseradish
  • 12 slices of Horseradish cheddar cheese
  • 12 slices of roast beef deli meat
  • 1/4 tsp oregano dried

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-low heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
  3. Add the onion, brown sugar, and salt. Stir and cook until the onions soften, about 5 to 10 minutes. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.
  4. In a baking dish, place the bottom halves of the rolls.
  5. Lay 6 slices of cheese evenly over the rolls.
  6. Place 1 slice of roast beef on each roll, folding it to fit if needed.
  7. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of the cooked onions onto each slice of roast beef.
  8. Spread Bookbinder's Shelf Stable Prepared Horseradish over the onions.
  9. Layer the remaining 6 slices of cheese on top of the roast beef and onions.
  10. Place the tops of the rolls over the cheese.
  11. Melt the remaining butter and brush it over the tops of the rolls. Sprinkle with oregano.
  12. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and everything is heated through.

* Recipe Notes - You can use Bookbinder's Creamy Horseradish Sauce instead for a smoother finish. If you're having trouble finding horseradish cheese (try the deli counter), you can use regular cheddar cheese.
