Ingredients:
For burger tacos:- 12 mini flour tortillas
- 1 pound ground beef
- salt & pepper
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 12 slices of cheese
- 1/2 onion (finely diced)
- pickle slices
- shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1/4 cup mayo
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp sweet relish
- 1 tsp Bookbinder's Horseradish Mustard
- 1/2 tsp white vinegar
- 1/2 tsp sugar
Directions:
- Combine all sauce ingredients in a small bowl and mix thoroughly.
- Shape ground meat into 12 equally sized balls.
- Place one ball of ground beef on a small tortilla and press to flatten. Repeat until all tortillas have a thin layer of ground beef on one side. Add a a dash of salt and pepper on top of each.
- Add 1/2 tsp of vegetable oil to a pan over medium-high heat. Place tortillas in the pan with the meat facing downwards. Then, press down firmly on them using either a spatula or a burger press. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the ground beef is browned. Repeat process until all tortillas are cooked.
- Flip tortilla and add slice of cheese on top of meat side. Let cheese melt, then remove from heat.
- Add diced onion, pickles, and shredded lettuce to burger taco. Top with homemade sauce.
